PRICING/POLICIES:
  
3 hour credit classes  $30;   1.5 hour credit classes  $15;
Additional $10/class for 2nd jurisdiction credit
(Extra fee is for both MD and/or DC and/or VA credit
but only applicable where indicated "MD/DC or MD/DC/VA")   
$10 late registration fee for 'walk-ins"


NO LATE ARRIVALS WILL BE ADMITTED
PHOTO ID REQUIRED FOR ADMISSION TO MD CE CLASSES
No electronic devices (phones, laptops, etc.) may be on during class time.
Failure to comply will result in dismissal from class.

  Maryland License Renewal Requirements   

Expirations before January 1, 2012
Residential:
  15 hours including 3.0 legislative, 1.5 fair housing, 3.0 ethics
Commercial:  15 hours including 3.0 legislative & 3.0 ethics

Note: Licensees with a graduate degree in law or real estate from an accredited college or university
(must supply documentation at audit):  7.5 hours (3.0 legislative, 3.0 Maryland ethics and 1.5 fair housing (residential); if solely commercial, 7.5 hours including 3.0 legislative 3.0 Maryland ethics and 1.5 elective) (required classes)

Legislative topic (a), fair housing topic (c), ethics topic (d) and agency topic (h) are required Maryland courses.
The ethics course must include MD Code of Ethics, Flipping and Predatory Lending.

MREC Agency - Residential is topic (h).

Attention: Inactive Returning to Active Licensees

Effective October 1, 2011, the term of an inactive license will change from 4 years to 3 years AND continuing education hours MUST BE COMPLETED BEFORE RENEWING A LICENSE even on Inactive Status.

 District of Columbia  License Renewal Requirements
An applicant for renewal of any Real Estate Broker, Associate Broker or Property License which is expiring on February 28, 2013 
or Real Estate Salespersons licenses expiring on August 31, 2013,
must submit proof of completing 15 hours of approved continuing education in the following subjects:

The 15-hour continuing education (CE) requirement for the current licensing cycle is as follows:

3.0-hrs Fair Housing   (DC Fair Housing & Predatory Lending)
3.0-hrs DC Legislative Update    (DC Legislative Update & Landlord - Tenant Rights)
3.0-hrs Financing Issues/Update  (Financing Issues & Distressed Properties)
plus 6.0-hrs General electives

The Academy strictly follows the guidelines set forth by the real estate commission.  


Photo ID now required to be admitted to class. (Maryland credit classes)
                                   Maryland rules also require that:
Students must be physically present during ALL of the offering time. 
No certificate will be given when a student arrives late, leaves early or steps out to answer phones.
 
No electronic devices (laptop, cell phone, etc.) may be left on during class time.

No one will be admitted into the classroom once the class begins
.  You MUST be on time!  Please allow plenty of time for traffic and weather conditions.  NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN FOR LATE ARRIVALS OR IF YOU ARE NOT IN ATTENDANCE FOR THE ENTIRE CLASS!!

Seating reservations will not be confirmed until payment has been received.

Rescheduling
If you are unable to attend a registered class, please notify us within 24 hours of the class to reschedule the class to another available date.

We reserve the right to cancel a class due to low enrollment.  We will notify you as soon as possible should the class be canceled.  A refund will be given for canceled classes or you have the option of rescheduling to an alternate date.

lnclement Weather Policy
The Academy and our instructors make every effort to hold classes that you register for, even on ‘snow’ days. If, however, you are unable to attend a class due to inclement weather and you notify the school on that day via e-mail, the Academy will grant you a refund for that day’s classes or credit the same amount toward any rescheduled classes in the future.

If classes are canceled due to inclement weather that information will be posted on this page. 
Please check the website the morning of the class.
