Steven J. Weiler
Director of the Academy of Real Estate
Steve Weiler is a 40+ year veteran of the real estate industry. Steve has been an award-winning real estate agent and manager. As a manager he helped coach the success of 8 agents who ranked among the top 10 in their local Association of Realtors for greatest number of transactions, listings sold or dollar volume in a year. For several years in a row, both the number 1 top listing agent in Montgomery County, Maryland and the number 1 top listing agent in Washington D.C. worked with Steve out of the same office. Many very successful agents, managers and broker/owners today got their start working with Steve. He has always enjoyed sharing, teaching and coaching his colleagues in the industry.
Steve is a graduate of the University of Maryland in College Park, MD as well as a Graduate of the Realtors Institute (GRI). Additionally, he has obtained the CRS designation as a Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) by the Realtors National Marketing Institute and numerous other real estate specific designations such as the Pricing Strategies Advisor and the At Home with Diversity certifications.. He holds a broker’s license in Maryland and an associate broker’s license in Washington, DC. Steve is also an ARELLO Certified Distance Learning Instructor.
Steve has developed and taught many professional development and continuing education classes. He is a highly sought-after speaker and trainer. Steve is an active member of MREEA (Maryland Real Estate Educators Association). He has been the past President of the Maryland Real Estate Educators Association (2014-2015 & 2015-2016), a member of the MREEA Board of Directors and has served as Chairman of the Continuing Education Committee.

Lucy Wall is the Executive Assistant to the Director and Registrar for the Academy of Real Estate. Lucy is also a graduate of the University of Maryland (Computer Science) and has brought her experience from management of another school to this position. Her pleasant personal manner combined with her evident efficiency continues to contribute to the everyday positive experiences enjoyed by our students.
ADDITIONAL STAFF
In addition to our Director and full time staff, the school has a stable of very professional and skilled instructors to teach the various topics covered in our courses. Those instructors include real estate attorneys, architects, home inspectors, engineers, tax professionals, mortgage brokers and real estate licensees who are actively engaged in the real estate industry. These instructors are selected according to their expertise in the specific topic of instruction.
